The Teacher Advisor (TA) program at St Augustine’s College is the cornerstone in building and maintaining the vital connection between parents and caregivers, students and the College. The program draws its purpose from our Learning and Teaching, Wellbeing and Catholic Identity frameworks. At the centre of these frameworks is “knowing the student” and “knowing the learner”, most importantly, supporting each student with the dignity and respect that our Catholic faith inspires. The TA plays a unique role in fostering the learning of its students and provides each student with the necessary balance of support and challenge to allow for personal growth. TAs are the ‘first point of call’ for parents and for students. TAs provide valuable followup for any wellbeing or learning concerns and needs. We promote and value opportunities for goal setting for all our learners. Engaging in this opportunity ensures all learners are committed, proactive and contributing to a salutogenic future. As soon as your child enrols in our college they will be connected with a TA who will work with you to support your child’s learning.
