St Augustine’s College recognises that some learners require additional support. Thoughtful consideration is given to the creation of Personalised Learning Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and Emotional Safety Plans for students who require them. Our Learner Diversity Leader and Wellbeing Team work with our teaching staff to make adjustments to support learners to be their best. The College also works in partnership with parents and caregivers, external support agencies and allied health professionals so that the particular learning and wellbeing needs of students requiring additional support are met. Our two Wellbeing Officers provide individual and small group support to students. Students can self-refer or teachers can also refer students to this program. Parents and caregivers who would like their child to access this service should contact their child’s TA (Teacher Advisor). To support the work of our Wellbeing Officers, the college engages a Psychologist once per fortnight. This is available for students who would not otherwise be able to access this support.
